Frequently Asked Questions about Yoga

How should I prepare for class?

It is best to practice yoga in comfortable, fitting clothing on a not full stomach. If you are attending a meditation class, very little, if any movement will be taken place. You can wear anything you'd like in that case. If you are attending either meditation or yoga class, a mat is recommended, Space Yoga Studio also rents mats for $3. If taking a hot class, a towel is also recommended, and are also for rent for $3. Inside the studio space, water, towel, and mat are only allowed. No shoes please. If you are taking a meditation class, you may bring your own props; blankets, bolsters, stones and journal. These items are not required. If taking a yoga class, especially a heated class, please hydrate properly before attending class. Space Yoga Studio offers a water cooler to fill your own container, free of charge. The studio also has bottled water for $2.

I'm new to yoga or meditation, what classes are best for me?

Space Yoga Studio suggests attending level 1 classes first. All humans are different, our instructors included. Everyone has an unique teaching style.
